Migi is designed to respect your privacy. This policy covers both the macOS app and our website.
macOS App
The Migi macOS application:
- No data collection - Migi does not collect, store, or transmit personal information
- No remote servers - All prompts, templates, and metadata stay on your device
- No analytics - We do not use analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or trackers
- No accounts - Migi does not require accounts. Cross-device clipboard uses Apple’s native handoff framework

Our website collects minimal technical data through CloudFront access logs:

When you visit migiapp.com, Amazon CloudFront automatically logs:
- IP address
- Pages visited (URLs)
- Date and time of access
- Browser type and operating system (user agent)
- Referring website (if applicable)
- Approximate geographic location (based on CloudFront edge location)
Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process this data under our legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to:
- Understand website traffic and usage patterns
- Identify technical issues and improve site performance
- Analyze which content is most valuable to visitors
How We Use This Data

Data Storage and Retention
- Logs are stored in Amazon S3 (EU region - Ireland)
- Logs are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
- After 30 days, logs are transitioned to cheaper archival storage
- All data processing occurs server-side; no client-side tracking or storage
International Data Transfers
Your data is stored and processed within the European Union (Ireland).
Amazon Web Services (AWS), our infrastructure provider, operates globally. While your data remains in EU servers, AWS may access logs for operational purposes (system maintenance, security incidents) from other jurisdictions including the United States.
AWS complies with:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) - EU-approved data transfer mechanisms
- ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018 - Information security certifications
- SOC 2 Type II - Security and compliance audits
For EU residents: Your data is subject to GDPR protections regardless of AWS’s global operations. You retain all rights under GDPR Article 15-22.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority

We do not sell or share your personal information.
California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

The personal information we collect from California residents is limited to CloudFront access logs (IP address, browsing data) as described above. This data is used solely for website analytics and is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
